the linc program

language instruction for new canadians

Improving your English is an important step in the settlement process. Agapé Language Centre offers Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC) programs to adult immigrants who need English as an additional language. The aim is to improve listening, speaking, reading and writing skills to support newcomers in achieving their goals in education, work, and becoming a Canadian Citizen.

The LINC program uses the Canadian Language Benchmarks to recognize proficiency and prepares students with the language required to take the Canadian citizenship test. LINC classes are offered year round at Agape for Literacy and levels 1 to , integrating all four skill areas into each class.

The LINC Program is FREE for newcomers to Canada and is funded by Immigration Refugee and Citizenship Canada.
